One week before departure, we came home to find our Condo 50 gallon hot water tank had been leaking all day. It was 4:00pm and a holiday week-end so needless to say no hot water for showers or laundry until Tuesday at the earliest. On the brighter side we had the boat right outside our door which did have hot water.
We each have our own list of things to do and each day a few more things get crossed off.
Our great neighbors and friends gave us a Kindle electronic book from Amazon. This will eliminate having to find space for our books.
We have been busy cancelling the newspaper, phone, subscriptions, (which take 2-3 months to get out of the system), chasing prescriptions and last minute doctors, dentist appointment's insurance, phone, etc. It's a challenge to think of everything. Also Tom had knee scope surgery 8/28/09 and is currently doing well cramming physical therapy in to the last day of departure.
Currently departure date is scheduled for Sunday 9/13 from LPYC. It has been busy to say the least, however looking forward to departure. We said to each other this morning sitting on the deck overlooking the harbor that what we will miss the most is our wonderful family and friends here at home in the QC. We will do our best to keep this blog spot updated with our location. We will miss everyone. Thanks for all your support and encouragement.
