Beautifull day on the Tenn-Tom
Full Moon in the harbor at Bay Springs
After the fog lifted we left Grand Harbor at 9:30 am with Pam and Dave on Adagio (Adagio means slow movement). It was a perfect sunny warm day to travel the beautiful 24 miles on the river area called the divide. The divide was land that was dug out through the forest and land to create a man made canal. The town of Holcut, Miss. was the only town in the path that had to be moved.
After a 33 mile trip down the Tenn-Tom we stopped at Bay Springs, Mississippi at 1:30and enjoyed the quiet waters and beautiful leaves. I enjoyed my walk, the first in a few days. At 4:30 we got together for cocktails, snacks and camaraderie with Adagio and new friends off Perfect Timing (Dave & Linda from Grand Haven Mich) and decided departure time and proposed destination for tomorrow.
It would be a beautiful night to anchor out, but this marina was convenient, we needed diesel fuel and we will have additional opportunities to anchor out further down the Tenn-Tom. This waterway really is spectacular, we had no idea. The remoteness, wilderness, and anchoring opportunities are unbelievable. It is so absolutely whisper quite at night.
